About Newbury Speakers Club
Newbury Speakers Club (a non-profit organisation)
first met in 1984, and chartered as an affiliate of Toastmasters
International in 1985.
The club originally chartered as the Anglo-American Toastmasters Club before eventually being renamed Newbury Speakers Club. The original Charter Certificate for the club can be seen here.
The club has a long history, but since its inception it has been helping people to grow and improve
their skills in communication and leadership. The club is proud of its record, helping people
to develop their skills in a friendly and positive atmosphere.
In District 71 (UK and Ireland) there are over 160 Toastmasters Clubs and almost 4000 Members. The organisation is growing all the time and there is almost certainly a Club close to you (see www.d71.org).
If you have any information or pictures relating to the history of the club which we could use on the website, please send them to us at the email address shown at the top of this page.
